Project Description

The Association of International Baccalaureate High Schools in Costa Rica (ASOBITICO) works to strengthen public education through the implementation of the world-renowned IB curriculum; raise students’ awareness of how they can engage in solving their community needs; and achieve a goal of 1,000 IB graduates per year from 20 public schools. Join the organizations and individuals who are donating to sponsor students’ educational materials, exam costs and related fees so that more Costa Ricans can benefit from this outstanding international curriculum.

This innovative public-private alliance has achieved IB implementation in nine public schools with seven more in the approval process; 471 IB graduates from public schools since 2008; 418 students currently registered; and 500 public-school teachers trained to the IB programs exacting standards.
