ADA is in all 7 provinces of Costa Rica through its online programs, which use evidence-based reading and writing practices developed through a decade long collaboration with researchers at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Universidad Estatal a Distancia and the Costa Rican Ministry of Education.
Every year since 2012, ADA organizes the National Children's Writing Contest to motivate school communities to engage children in reading and writing by connecting them to the power of storytelling. This program responds to teacher's needs for accessible reading material, lesson plans, and support for socio-emotional learning in the classroom.
