We strive to protect Costa Rica's natural heritage for future generations, through its sustainable development, by promoting education and community empowerment, the strengthening of protected wildlife areas and the promotion of tourism.
We use education to address and promote the involvement and call to action of local communities. Our program has created awareness and has empowered thousands of children since 2003. We have proven that the program, and its format of integrating new experiences with hands-on learning activities, work. It empowers kids and it has changed the lives of many children, especially girls. This program is the only permanent environmental education program in the southern pacific of Costa Rica.
We also support governmental and non-governmental entities in the search for sustainable, balanced and equitable development. We promote sustainable tourism and community-based tourism in order to promote sustainable economic opportunities for local populations.
Our sea turtle conservation program has protected more than 100,000 hatchlings since 2006 and has worked with local communities to create awareness about the importance of protecting sea turtles and their environment in general.
Our focus is local, but our impact is global.
