The Ecological Association of Paquera, Lepanto, and Cobano (ASEPALECO) has been working in reforestation and land conservation in the Nicoya Peninsula since 1991. We actively re-wild and protect tropical forests and fundamental sources of water for the local communities (including Santa Teresa & Montezuma), and work in community involvement and sustainability through our environmental education, firefighter training, and recycling programs.
